TWISTED SISTER’s Dee Snider is working on a ‘Filty Fifteen’ documentary series

Any Hard Rocker worth their salt over the age of 50 will clearly remember Dee Snider’s legendary participation in the US senate committee hearing on so-called ‘obscene music’ with Tipper Gore (wife of Al Gore) and the Parents Music Resource Center in 1985.

Dee appeared together with Frank Zappa and John Denver but basically single-handedly destroyed the PMRC in front of the rolling cameras.

The PMRC had come up with the infamous ‘Filthy Fifteen’ list of songs they wanted to be banned, which included tracks from JUDAS PRIEST, AC/DC, TWISTED SISTER, BLACK SABBATH, MOTLEY CRUE, DEF LEPPARD, VENOM and MERCYFUL FATE.

Now Dee Snider is working together with Magilla Ent. on creating a documentary series focused on those heady days of 1985.

With the working title ‘The Filthy Fifteen: Censorship & the War on Dirty Lyrics’, the series will be packed with never-before-seen footage and sit-downs with the artists and politicians at the center of the PMRC controversy.
